Kelly Denis is a Master Practitioner in Counselling Psychology (MPCP), Registered Professional Counsellor (RPC).
I have been a member of the Canadian Professional Counselling Association since 2004. I have been approved by I.C.B.C. which means if you have been in an accident and are experiencing emotional trauma from it, you can seek professional counselling with me, with the approval of your worker and it can be covered by I.C.BC.
After obtaining my counselling diploma in 2004, I went to work for the People in Need Crisis Intervention Society in Vernon. My roll there was the Program COordinator and some of my responsibilites were to train the new volunteers to answer the Crisis Line, to be there to offer short term emotional support and referrals.
2008 until 2022 ~ Facilitated groups for co-dependency, emotional fluency, addictions, Shame and relationships.
2016 to 2021 ~ supported individuals with Substance Use Disorder, mental health concerns, and those struggling with the housing crisis.
2010 to Current ~ counselling, individuals, families, couples for a variety of concerns.
I believe in empowerment, that each person has the resources within themselves to find answers, they may just need a non-judgmental, unbiased ear to hear them and help facilitate those answers.
